hey-o. yesterday was a day alright. had my Dad attempt waking me up before he left for work, but it didn’t really work out. i ended up falling back asleep and didn’t get out of bed until right before noon. that was okay didn’t have anything big planned so the sleep was appreciated.
i relaxed the day away. finished reading the 3rd Twilight...

[10:40pm]
yesterday was busssy and long. started off by having church and playing for the service. very slim numbers what with how the weather was and the roads being icy. R&A stayed home because of roads being icy and being trapped at home. M&D thought they’d have to do fellowship coffee & cookies but turned out that some other people had provided stuff. that was good because...

this is a live web cam at the site of where 37 IOWAY Petal Pushers friends will be serving as they push petals into this year’s float. the float is indeed an organ and i’m sad to be missing it this year but i’m excited to be able to watch the progress online and then get to see it when it is all done. i’m there in spirit pushing the petals in right along with them!!!
ooooh family.
[1:15am]
this is gonna be short. considering i should have been asleep a half hour ago, it’s gotta be a bit shorter.
today, i slept in for a long while until about 11:30am. woke up to have a bit of the apple pancakes that Mom opened from Andrew & Renae the day before. (this gift had been store in the fridge and required Mom to put on her gloves in order to open it). they were good....
merry christmas wrap-up.
[1:56am]
today was the celebration of Jesus’ Birthday. it was a wonderful day. started out with me waking up a lil later than i wanted to, but i still was dressed and ready for church at Shepherd of the Valley in west des moines.
it was a beautiful service, with Pastor Ogilvie officiating. his sermon was titled “Worship the King” and he focused on the birth of our Savior and...
christmas eve.
[11:59pm]

today was a splendid day. i awoke to hear my family bustling about. we had a nice big breakfast together and then we broke apart to get things done. we finished watching ELF and i got to the part of my heel in my sock. Renae helped me figure that out. i put in August Rush to watch and was in and out of the living room with that on.
Andrew and Renae left to...

heeey-o. today was a crazy lazy day i’d say. i woke up around 9:30am, showered quick because our cleaning lady (Kristy, from church) had arrived. Then quickly got to crocheting and finishing the blanket for Meredith. did that up until i needed to leave for our lunch date.
lunch was amaaaaazing. we chatted and dined @ the one and only noodle zoo north. i had my usual house salad...

[10:54pm]
home has been amazing so far. i left seward around 11am. the first two hours on the road were nervewracking with semis being extremely aggressive acting like they were the only things that belonged on i80. i was really tired so when i hit council bluffs i pulled off on exit 5 (madison ave) to a gas station and took at 25min power nap. that was nice. then continued...

[12:35pm]
today’s been real nice. i set an alarm for 7:20ish am this morning because a resident needed to be checked out this morning at 7:30. i told her she was probably going to have to knock on my door to make sure i was awake and so that happened.
checked her out and then took the longest shower of my life. that was amazing. i leisurely began the day (with the Today show on in the...

Handel's Messiah "For Unto Us a Child is Born" →
today in music history, we (again) did NOT get our research papers back. even though i had two exact same dreams last night of receiving the papers back, it didn’t happen. we did however study Handel’s Messiah. it was nice. this is one of my favorite movements. lucky for me i gave a recording of this wonderful oratorio by Handel to my father for Christmas one year…so he’s...

[12:06am]
my day consisted of me leaving my dorm at 8:15am and i didn’t return until 11:40pm tonight. i’m sooo tired. sitting in the music theory lab monitoring the equipment was a huge bore tonight. i should have been doing homework but considering i was gone from my dorm all day with classes, meetings, and practicing i chose to browse amazon.com for books i’d enjoy reading if...

that’s all there is until i get to go home. yesss. there’s a crap load of stuff to get done in that amount of time. but i pray i’m able to get it all accomplished and be okay with how things turn out for this semester.
it’s good to be back to seward. the drive home took fooorever. just mainly because i was tired. i stopped near Walnut, IA (about 43 miles from...
